We have tried a new type of joint with our patient Jagdish. D-rev re-motion knee joint is a four bar poly-centric knee joint which enables amputee to walk with a comfortable , natural and stable gait. It was fitted to one of our old patients Jagdhish who has been treated by Mukti from his childhood. He is now a mechanical engineer.
Mr. V. Kannan came to Mukti today to be fitted with a special prosthesis for his left lower extremity. He is 26 years old and is a native of Gingee, Villupuram District. Mr. Mohandass, a 63-year-old male, came all the way from Nooranad, Kerala, to MUKTI to be fitted with artificial limbs for the first time (bilateral BKA, below-knee amputation). A resident of Government Leprosy Sanatorium at Nooranad, a fellow inmate mentioned about MUKTI to him.
